Complete Vehicle Designs was the first to manufacture this style of Silverado Under-Seat Dual Battery system in Australia, with our design and layout extensively refined in 2022.
But we didn't stop once we had a working product.
We've continued making changes and improvements based on manufacturing experience, installations and what makes the system easier for both professional workshops and DIY installers.
One example is our extensive use of Rivnut threaded inserts.
Rather than simply drilling holes and expecting installers to hold nuts underneath the unit while fitting accessories, we've incorporated Rivnuts into the design at key mounting points.
That means accessories can be bolted directly into threaded mounting locations — making installation, removal and future modifications considerably faster and easier.
It's a small detail.
But when you're building a premium system, the small details matter.
🛠 BUILT AROUND A PURPOSE-DESIGNED CVD PLATFORM
The foundation of the system is our Australian-made CVD under-seat platform, manufactured from CNC-cut aluminium and finished in a durable textured black powder coat.
It's not a generic electrical board adapted to fit a Silverado.
The system has been designed around the available space beneath the Silverado rear seat from the beginning.
That gives us control over component positioning, mounting points, cable routing and storage layout — allowing us to squeeze as much functionality as possible from the available area.
