China’s Cancellation of 13% Export Tax Rebate
On Friday, November 15, China’s Ministry of Finance announced the cancellation of the 13% export tax rebate for aluminum products, including sheet materials. The removal of the tax rebate will take effect from December 1st.
This decision will have an immediate impact in Australia, as all materials shipped from China on or after December 1 will see a 13% increase in price.
As a supplier of premium aluminum products, we will be impacted by this Tax Cut Rebate by China which will see inflation and pricing adjustments to replicate this increase.
Due to this decision a general price rise will take effect from January 1st 2025, on all Aluminium Products.
We encourage you to use this opportunity to purchase items before January 1st 2025, to beat the price increase.
We also expect broader market effects stemming from this decision and will continue to monitor developments closely, keeping you informed with timely updates.
Thank you for your understanding and continued partnership.
